The Emmaus Abbey Church is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, committed to prayer, healing, teaching, and preaching the gospel. We have a heart for missions and helping reach the least, the lost and the poor. Our purpose of having a church is to have a place to worship and learn about God, equip our members and others to evangelize and disciple those wanting a deeper relationship with Jesus. We are so grateful for those who are committed to our vision and mission and have sacrificed in many ways so others can find hope and freedom. Emmaus Abbey Church “Discipling the Next Generation” comes from the verse in Galatians 5:1: “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” ESV
The only way we can stay close enough to Christ to find this freedom is through constant communication and listening to the Holy Spirit. This is done through prayer. There is no way we could be effective in the lives of so many if it were not for the dedicated and effective ministry of prayer. There are many who walk with us, ministering to God’s hurting people, through prayer. The needs are great and the workers are so necessary. Join us in the privilege of ministering through prayer and receiving the joy of watching God work in healing lives and relationships.

Why Give to Emmaus Abbey Church?
Emmaus Abbey Church is a small church with a big heart and wishes to reach out to those in our Knoxville community. We assist with all types of mission work: with Pro Bono counseling services for those unable to pay for counseling services, veterans and family members, community counseling services, healing ministries and outreach for Right to Life. It is through each persons generosity in donations, service, and prayer that Emmaus Abbey Church can offer missionary work and Counseling Ministry to serve others in Christ’s name. “Give generously to him,” Deuteronomy 15:10 reads, “and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and all you put your hand to.”

Marriages and families are the fundamental building blocks for a healthy society. When these critical relationships suffer, our communities and society will also suffer. When these families are healthy they can begin to help others. Join us to make a difference in changing lives with the gospel, changing struggling families not only in Knoxville, but in our missions field around Clinton, Andersonville, Oakridge and Powell areas. Our Nation sends billions of dollars over seas to help other Nations and thousands of churches in America send millions of dollars support foreign countries, but the Emmaus Abbey goal is to help those in our community who are suffering. Your missions giving allows us to reach beyond the church into our local communities.

To fulfill our mission of restoring the heart of relationships in our families locally, we rely on financial support from outside individuals and organizations who partner with us to see marriages and families thrive. Many families cannot afford the counseling they receive but their need remains. You can make a difference. All mission funds go directly to help those we serve. We have many success stories and many just need a helping hand in this depressed economy.
